Ithachords Open House

The Ithachords will be holding an Open House for new and prospective members on Thurs., Sept. 2nd at 7:00pm. The party will be held at our rehearsal space at 312-314 W. State St., Ithaca. It is the yellow-tan, late-Victorian-era house on the north side of the street, a little west of Albany Ave. Free pizza will be available.

The chorus has actually had inquiries from at least 10 new singers this year. And now, with the college school year starting up, there are both an unusual number of quartet men and also guys who have just expressed an interest in barbershop residing in the Ithaca area. Between talented, enthusiastic younger singers and wily veterans, there really are the makings of a very good chorus in town. Let's get together and test that hypothesis! No commitment is necessary at an Open House. And we understand that the college guys in particular can have crazy schedules. But please come by this one night to help us see (and hear) how many chords 15-25 barbershoppers can ring!

If you've been meaning to check us out, but haven't gotten around to it yet, this really is the best Thursday to stop in. Or if you used to sing with us, and have been considering coming back, we'd love to see you again.
